In May 1939 David Lloyd married Glenys Lloyd
and in November 1940 their son Lodwick was
born.
In the early days of the war Glenys kept a diary and various notes.

A popular wartime magazine

Glenys Lloyd was lucky and unusual in that her house had cold running water and she owned a washing machine. Other villagers got their water from standing pipes in the road.


Two gas masks owned by the family. The first is a sevice issue and the second was the type issued to civilians.
