Diary and Notes of Mrs David Lloyd

In May 1939 David Lloyd married Glenys Lloyd and in November 1940 their son Lodwick was
born.
In the early days of the war Glenys kept a diary and various notes. These are extracts
from them.

A popular wartime magazine


Glenys Lloyd was lucky and unusual in that her house had cold running water and she owned a washing machine. Other villagers got their water from standing pipes in the road.

Two gas masks owned by the family. The first is a sevice issue and the second was the type issued to civilians.
